Asbestos remains a significant health risk, and failing to manage it properly can lead to serious legal and financial consequences. The duty holder is required to:
Identify and assess asbestos risks within the premises.
Maintain an up-to-date asbestos management plan.
Ensure safe handling and necessary removal by qualified professionals.
Taking Action
HSE provides detailed guidance on fulfilling your responsibilities, including identifying asbestos, assessing risks, and implementing effective management strategies. Regular inspections and adherence to regulations can prevent unnecessary exposure and ensure the safety of occupants
